  1. PLACE: Zoom U is different to actually attending college because it’s harder to meet/interact with new people and the lessons might not obtain the same level of education that you want on zoom. Also, it’s more confusing to operate because everyone is new to this which just adds to the stress. Some similarities is that we are still learning from our professors and we still get assigned work for each week’s specific learning topic.
  2. PLACE: Animal Crossing is similar to Instagram in ways because you can meet friends and show yourself. To add new friends, you have to submit a friend request and wait for them to add you back. Also, you design a place in Animal Crossing, which is very similar to Instagram because you are “designing” your page in a way that you want so it has a certain look and feel. However, they are different because in Animal Crossing, there is no posting yourself and you aren’t “fishing” for people to like stuff on your page like Instagram. Animal Crossing is there more to just explore rather than being a social media website to promote yourself.
  3. PLACE: In Animal Crossing, I am at a campsite, so I will compare the virtual campsite to a real one. They are similar by giving the same look of a campsite and doing challenges/tasks that people only do while camping. The positive about it being virtual is because you don’t have to wait to get there or pay any real money for the trip. They are different because camping in the real world gives you a certain feeling that can’t be replaced by a phone. Nature has so much beauty and to get to experience that with others is fun and would create a lot of memories.
  4. CONCLUSIONS: This experience shows us how much we, as humans, take for granted when things are taken away from us. During the pandemic, people can go to the park, beaches, or even hike trails. More and more places are opening up every single day.
  5. IDENTIFY: Instagram can be a MMORPG’s because you can share yourself with people, make friends, and post photos or videos of yourself at places you have been to. You can also still feel connected to the world and look at other peoples posts to make you feel like you are in a place that you wish you were, like in the Virtual World.
  6. IDENTIFY: I don’t think real life is a MMORPG even though it may look like it because to me, nothing can compare to experiencing things while physically being there and seeing it with your own eyes.
